Ireland - North Coast Scenic Drive

Downhill is designated as a Special Area of Conservation as well as an Area of Special Scientific Interest. The interesting rock formations, the birdlife, cliffs and sanddunes are only outdone by the prominent Mussenden Temple, said to be one of the most photographed buildings in Northern Ireland. Although it is earmarked for conservation we were surprised that you can take vehicles onto the beach here. You might also be able to make out the train tunnel under the temple.
